Position Summary:
To facilitate simulation-related educational experiences on behalf of HealthPartners Clinical Simulation, a department within the Institute for Medical Education. The Simulation Educator provides clinical, educational, and technical expertise in the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational and performance assessment initiatives through the use of simulation-based assessment and education methodologies. The Educator collaborates with others to facilitate curriculum development and program evaluation. During simulation sessions, this individual operates the mannequins and other simulation equipment, programs scenarios, utilizes role-playing, props, clinical equipment and dialogue to create a realistic learning environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant healthcare field required. Master’s degree in related clinical/healthcare field or education preferred. RN, RT, PA-C, EMT-P preferred. Five years clinical experience, one year teaching/training within a healthcare environment. Experience using simulation as a learning methodology preferred. ICU/ED experience preferred. Must hold a current Minnesota license in the related clinical discipline. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, FCCS, preferred.
